Catching Bubbles

It isn’t a lamp, it’s jewellery. The glass objects hangs on a wall and illuminates strings of bubbles in an intricate way. In this chaotic world with an overload of stuff and distractions, redefining our understanding of value becomes even more important. Learning to cherish the beauty and uniqueness found in small objects or trinkets might be one of the ways to slow the cycle of consumption.

To me air bubbles are one of the most precious yet simple things, embodying a beauty also found in jewellery. Their lifespan is often short as they vanish. The strings of air bubbles is caught in glass and helps filter the light. The coloured glass elements are framing the bubbles, as well as protecting them from the sides. These light objects invite the viewer to contemplate on the significance of the seemingly insignificant.
